Pomegranate Extract - Pomegranate (Punica granatum) is known as “anar” in India and as “granado” in Spain. It grows wild in India, Italy, North Africa and China. The rind of this familiar fruit is used for the deepest yellow dye. The rinds are a waste product of the pulverized seed product that is used as a spice in India. The Earthues pomegranate extract is made from the rind and yields an especially nice green-yellow that has an aromatic quality. Because of its tannin content, it gives a yummy deep moss green when combined with iron (ferrous sulfate).
