Orvus paste, also known as sodium lauryl sulfate, is a pH neutral, gentle detergent that is excellent for wetting out and washing natural fiber. It is very concentrated and contains no phosphorous, no optical brighteners, no fabric softeners, no fragrances, no enzymes, and is 100% biodegradable. Orvus is very concentrated, so only use ½-1 teaspoon per pound of fiber. The Orvus freeze/melting point is around 60F.
